Catamaran Motor Boat
A motor catamaran is a boat consisting of two hulls connected by beams that support a central structure called the deckhouse. This structure typically houses the living areas, such as the saloon, galley, chart table, and cockpit, while the cabins are usually located in the hulls.
Thanks to its width, the catamaran offers excellent stability while underway as well as generous living space, making it ideal for cruising.
The absence of a mast also provides additional outdoor space: the flybridge. This second helm station can be equipped with a bench and, depending on the boat’s size, a table as well as one or more sun pads.
Powered by two engines, the motor catamaran often outperforms a monohull with equivalent engine power. Its lighter displacement reduces hydrodynamic drag, which directly translates to optimized fuel consumption.
