At the heart of the ninth generation of Sun Odyssey yachts, the new Sun Odyssey 385 continues this philosophy: making sailing more accessible than ever, while preserving the pleasure and sensations that have built the reputation of the range.

A Hull Designed by Marc Lombard

Designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design, the Sun Odyssey 385 directly benefits from the heritage of the Sun Odyssey 380, widely recognized for its excellent sailing qualities: strong upwind performance, a well-balanced behavior and precise, responsive steering.

The sail plan has been further optimized with a mast raised by more than 250 mm and a mainsail enlarged by over 2 m², further improving performance under sail.

With three keel configurations, including a lifting-keel version, three rig configurations, and a choice of modular interior layouts, the Sun Odyssey 385 can be tailored to suit each owner’s sailing programmer and lifestyle.

A New Silhouette

Following the design language introduced on the Sun Odyssey 415 and 455, the Sun Odyssey 385 features a concave-profile transom combined with a raised aft chine, giving the yacht a more dynamic silhouette.

The maximum beam extends all the way aft, providing an additional 8 cm of width around the helm seating area.

The result is a hull that appears lighter on the water, while the helm station benefits from increased space and comfort.

A Cockpit Designed for Sailing and Relaxing at Anchor

The deck layout has been designed to combine sailing efficiency, safety and relaxation:

Wide, unobstructed side decks with no backstay, making movement around the deck easier;

Step-free access from the cockpit;

Clear separation between sail-handling areas and relaxation spaces;

A welcoming cockpit with high backrests providing excellent support and protection while sailing;

A deep cockpit offering greater security at sea;

An optional starboard console providing a particularly practical and functional helm station.

An Interior Designed to Be Shared

Inside, the saloon and chart-table area feature rounded seating arranged to face one another, naturally encouraging conversation and sociability on board.

Rounded furniture edges make it easier to move around safely while sailing. Movement through the interior follows the centreline of the yacht, with handrails providing secure access all the way to the forward cabin.

To starboard, the living area stands out for its versatility and can easily adapt to different everyday uses.

Clever storage solutions, abundant natural light and carefully designed lighting complete an interior where every detail has been considered to make life on board both comfortable and practical.
