Jeanneau 55
Transfer of ownership
A used boat purchase is finalized through a transfer of ownership, which involves updating the boat’s title. By entrusting us with the sale of your boat, you’ll be spared all the administrative hassle. We’ll handle all the paperwork for you to make things easier.
A&C Yacht Brokers advises you and handles these formalities
- We draft the bill of sale and ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained.
- We gather the documents required for the transfer of ownership.
- We arrange for the signing of the bill of sale between the two parties to ensure a smooth and secure transaction.
Purchasing a Boat Already Registered in France
As of January 1, 2022, the transfer of ownership must be registered with the Departmental Directorate for Territories and the Sea (DDTM) in the jurisdiction where the boat is registered.
As part of its support services, A&C Yacht Broker handles all of these procedures, which are an integral part of its mission.
How do I change the boat’s name?
The process is simple: we submit the request to the customs navigation office at the port of registry and include it in the transfer file. A new electronic document, called a Vessel Registration Certificate, is then issued to you free of charge.
