Ketch Aurique
The prototype of this gaf-rigged sailing ketch with a steel hull is called 'Omoo' and was named from the book 'Penelope était du voyage' by the well-known Belgian yachtswoman Annie van de Wiele, who sailed round the world from 1949-1953.
A similar vessel was sailed around the north-west passage to the north of Canada and through the ice with the Belgian skipper Willi de Roos.
This boat is very sound, is ideal for long, round-the-world voyages and is lying in Martinique.
