Integral Daggerboard

An integral daggerboard sailboat is often a cruising or voyaging sailboat. The daggerboard rises completely in a daggerboard case, giving the boat a very shallow draft with the daggerboard up.

This allows access to shallow anchorages, much sought-after by sailors in areas with high tides. These yachts are designed to be beached on a sandy beach or in a river.
