Catana

Catana is a renowned French boatbuilder specializing in top-of-the-range cruising catamarans combining performance, safety and comfort.

Founded in 1984 in Cogolin, the company has evolved over the decades to become a major player in the global multihull market.
As early as 1986, Catana innovated by using Twaron, an aramid fiber, to reinforce the hulls of its catamarans, improving their lightness and robustness.

In 1998, the shipyard moved to Canet-en-Roussillon. Architect Christophe Barreau joined the team, bringing modern, high-performance designs, such as the Catana 42 launched in 1989. A veritable revolution in the boating world, the new Catana range is built in a new, ultra-modern shipyard. 

In 2003, Olivier Poncin took over Catana via the Poncin Yachts group. He launched the Harmony Yachts brand in 2005, active until 2011. In 2014, the group was renamed Catana Group.

In the same year, Catana Group launched the BALI Catamarans brand, offering innovative and affordable catamarans.
