ounded in 1897 by Albert Couach, the shipyard is located on the Arcachon basin. It is renowned for its expertise in the design of bespoke luxury yachts, ranging from 11 to 50 meters, and professional vessels such as patrol and rescue boats.

In 2021, Couach has signed a ten-year contract with the SNSM (Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer) to renew its fleet, including the construction of 140 boats.
