Etap

Etap was a Belgium-based shipyard founded by Norbert Joris in 1970. Its activity ceased in 2012.

The yard produced yachts designed in particular by Jac de Ridder Yacht Design (Netherlands) and Harlé-Mortain (France).

ETAP was a pioneer in the construction of “unsinkable” yachts, using a sandwich technique of polyurethane foam injected between two polyester hulls. This design ensures permanent buoyancy, even in the event of water ingress.
