JMV
Jean-Marie Vaur founded JMV Industries in September 1992.
JMV Industries was a French shipyard located in the port of Cherbourg, specializing in the construction of composite sailboats.
It distinguished itself by building numerous IMOCA 60-foot monohulls, notably after Christophe Auguin's success in the 1996-1997 Vendée Globe aboard Geodis, built by JMV in 1994.
The yard has also carried out subcontracting work for other manufacturers, such as the floats for Olivier de Kersauson's trimaran Géronimo and the internal structure of the IMOCA PRB, which has twice won the Vendée Globe.
After a period of inactivity, JMV Industries officially closed at the beginning of 2023.
