Founded in 1965 by Henri Amel and sold to his employees in 1978, Chantier Amel has been based in La Rochelle since 1968.

Chantier AMEL is renowned for its robust, comfortable boats, designed for safe sailing on all the world's seas.

Among the brand's outstanding models are :

  • Super Maramu (1988-1998)
  • Amel 54 (2005-2011)
  • Amel 64 (2010-2019)
  • Amel 50 (since 2017)
  • Amel 60 (since 2019)

Recent models, designed by Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau, perpetuate the AMEL spirit while incorporating modern innovations.
In 2024, the shipyard celebrated the launch of the 100th Amel 50, testifying to its international success.

Chantiers AMEL is headquartered in Périgny, near La Rochelle, and offers after-sales services in Guadeloupe and Martinique.
